Spalenbrunnen Hotel & Restaurant Basel City Center, Basel

The hotel's location was central enough, very close to tram stops for easy city access. The rooms, though initially smelly from smoking, were clean and quite spacious. The service was lovely and helpful, offering assistance with breakfast arrangements and taxi bookings. The dining experience, although good, could have been earlier. The facilities were satisfactory overall.

The hotel is ideally situated in the old town of Basel, offering a convenient location for sightseeing and access to the city's excellent tram and bus system. The rooms are generally quiet and spacious, though cleanliness could be improved and maintenance issues with the lavatory faucet were noted. The twin room layout, instead of the paid-for double room, was a drawback for me.
